BakBone Encryption Module

NetVault®: Backup Encryption Plugin Module allows data to be encrypted for backup at the client. The data remains encrypted when it is being sent over the network and while it is stored on tape, to provide end-to-end data security.

A pre-set algorithm is used to encrypt data. Using CAST 128, a 128-bit ECB encryption mode, data encrypted at the source is then transferred across the network to a storage device. It remains encrypted on the device until it is restored to the client.
