Enterprise Server & Storage Consulting Services & Sales

Available for UNIX, Windows, and Linux, the NDMP Plugin Module provides a full-featured solution for NAS devices, including:
The NDMP Plugin Module simplifies control of NAS environments with a common backup and restore solution that provides centralized management via an interactive GUI.
Your can have seamless interoperability in a mixed server environment of UNIX, Windows, and Linux operating systems and NAS devices.
Your can also increase NAS and network availability by defining NDMP-based backup functions to meet their existing storage environments. The NDMP Plugin Module supports all five data transfer models:
The NDMP Plugin Module provides faster recovery of whole directories, a single file, or subsets of files. When files are backed up, a location is recorded for each. At restore time, this information can be used to position the file in an exact location on the media rather than reading sequentially through the whole backup. (This capability works with filers that support DAR functionality.)
You will be able to optimize backups with selectable index options. Enhanced options include writing the index to media or to the NetVault: Backup database after a backup completes.
NetVault: Backup supports the NetApp® NearStore® VTL Shadow Tape technology. This removes the need to import the physical media into the physical library, allowing NetVault: Backup to perform a 'quick import' by importing from the shadow store where possible.
This integration significantly streamlines enterprise data recovery by integrating Shadow Tape with NetVault: Backup policies to provide simplicity and ease of management for data backup, recovery, and protection.
